Warning about e-mail

Information that is transmitted by e-mail over the Internet is not secure and can be intercepted and read by other Internet users. The Information and Referral Center � La Crosse recommends that you do not use e-mail to send us private or confidential data about yourself or others unless it has been encoded or encrypted. In addition, the department will not use e-mail to transmit responses that contain private or confidential data on an individual unless it can ensure the security and integrity of the information or it has the individual's consent to transmit such unsecured data.

Official records

Materials on www.greatrivers211.org and www.mch-hotlines.org are designed to provide useful information to the public, but are not intended to be definitive, official documents of The Information and Referral Center�s policy. If there are differences between the Web site version of a document and the hard copy version in the Information and Referral Center�s office files, the hard copy version should be considered the correct one. Official documents of the Information and Referral Center are maintained at its office in Onalaska, Wisconsin.

The Information and Referral Center is dedicated to preserving your privacy and security while viewing www.greatrivers211.org or mch-hotlines.org. We strive to retrieve the minimum amount of information necessary from its Web site visitors in order to provide a host of various services and resources. The department does not capture personal information without visitors' permission.
